FILM INDY is dedicated to uplifting and supporting visual artists, filmmakers and aspiring filmmakers in the Indianapolis region, recruiting film and television related marketing opportunities for central Indiana and giving support and creating resources for productions interested in filming in Indianapolis. We are cultivating opportunities that have potential for large economic impact and that bring jobs to our underserved and under supported creative class. With a dedicated effort toward raising awareness of our talent, cultivating economic opportunities and developing educational tools for our workforce we are impacting the Indianapolis arts community and assisting in the effort to recruit and retain talent in Indiana. Since Film Indy’s inception in 2016 and the implementation of an official film application for the City of Indianapolis, we have tracked more than 400 film and media projects in the Indianapolis region with a collective economic impact of $34.2M and the creation of 2,200 local jobs.
